When it comes to running a business and conducting digital marketing, there are likely to be multiple demands on your time. From creating copy for your new website and updating it often, to generating blog ideas and ensuring your social media channels are engaging, relevant and active. There are no shortcuts for much of the digital marketing you’ll need to do around your new website design but, help is at hand when it comes to easing the burden of maintaining your social media, in the form of scheduling tools.A social media scheduling tool is a great time saver – you can bulk upload posts and schedule posts to appear at a date and time of your choosing in the future. This means you can dedicate a portion of your day to uploads and then forget for the rest of the week. Social media scheduling tools will often also monitor mentions of your brand name, which makes it much easier when it comes to carrying out reputation management and knowing what people are saying about you.To help you get started, here are our recommendations for social media scheduling tools to try now. #1 Hootsuite Hootsuite is the name most people think of when they consider investing in a social media tool – and with good reason. The easy-to-use software is available in a range of subscription levels, including free for one company and up to three social media profiles. The free option will allow you to schedule posts and provide some basic analytics. The next level up, allows for more social media profiles to be connected and will provide a range of useful reports, including growth in follower numbers and total number of mentions in any given period – so you can see what kind of an impact your posts are having. #2 Buffer Buffer also makes it easy to schedule and publish social media posts. You can link multiple social media posts to your Buffer interface, then pre-schedule posts across any combination of your social media profiles. As with Hootsuite, you can also upload images and other media to accompany your posts and analyse performance using the interaction and engagement trackers. #3 Zoho With a social media calendar to manage content posting, Zoho provides an easy way to populate multiple social media channels. Because of the calendar lay out, it’s very user friendly and you can see at a glance which posts are scheduled and what time they will be published. Posts can also be dragged and dropped and the interface supports collaboration.
