With the rise of social media over the last few years, LinkedIn can play a significant role in the effective marketing of your business. Marketing your business via LinkedIn requires working through your own network, employing your current list of contacts as well as potential contacts in the greater LinkedIn community.

With that being said, the focus of todays blog is to highlight some of the most successful strategies that business owners are deploying to develop their LinkedIn marketing strategy and leverage this medium:

Encourage every employee to have a LinkedIn profile and to link each other – Growing your network this way increases your exposure outside of your company. There is no reason for a employee to spend hours and hours producing their profile as a quick profile can be set up in 5-10 minutes.

Link your businesses website and blog back to your LinkedIn profile – Build credibility and trust in your organisation by offering your website visitors a direct view to your LinkedIn profile. This will allow to them to verify you as an employee of the company and find out a little more about you as a person. It also adds the personal touch to business interactions.

Link your LinkedIn profile back to your website and blog – Allow people to actually do business with you by including links back to your website once they have verified who you are on LinkedIn. Also ensure that all your employees who are on LinkedIn include a link to your businesses website.

Use popular keyword phrases in your company or personal profile – Using one of the many keyword tools available online can help you find the hottest keyword phrases in your field. If your business is doing any online advertising campaigns, ensure those keyword phrases are the same as the ones in your profile. Presenting a consistent image to any potential customer makes you and your company look more professional.

Develop relationships with key business partners – Searching on LinkedIn can allow you to be very precise about whom you want to reach. For example, if you were thinking of moving into the smartphone market, you can reach out to global companies such as Apple and Samsung.

As we have seen, social media can be a powerful way to conduct business in the 21st century. To find out how Eazi-Apps can help you enter the fastest growth market in history, please contact us today.
