There have been lots of new apps making the headlines this week, ranging from the truly innovative and groundbreaking to kind of weird!
Our Eazi-Apps business-in-a-box-solution to set up a mobile app development business includes lots of support and one of the ways we like to support you is by ensuring we’ve always got our finger of the pulse of new industry developments. Here, we’re rounding up some of the apps that have been making headlines in the last week or so to give you some inspiration for your own app designs.
Tinder gets an udderly creative rival
Tinder’s viral success has sparked more than a few imitations but this one is a little more unusual. The Week is reporting that an app inspired by Tinder, called Tudder has been created to help farmers find a match for their cattle. The new app is intended for farmers who want to breed their livestock and simply sees farmers swipe right or left for cattle they think might be a good fit for their herd. When a potential new addition is found, the farmer clicks and is redirected to SellMyLivestock.com to find out more. Genius!
Berlin app brings together every possible mode of transport
Traversing the German city of Berlin should be a piece of cake with the clever new app, Jelbi. It brings together every possible form of transport so users can buy train tickets, hail a ride share or unlock a bikeshare bike all from the one single app. It makes for a super straightforward and simple way to travel around the city without driving and without needing to check a dozen different apps for individual transport services or web pages.
New Shanandoah National Park app
If you’re planning a trip to Washington and want to explore the wilderness, the interactive new Shanandoah National Park app is a great example of how an app can be used to give customers access to services when there isn’t a human present. The app gives visitors features such as information on attraction, nearby services, trail-maps and self-guided tours, so those visiting at weekends, during busy periods in peak season or unable to find a park ranger can still enjoy their trip. The app also has a GPS program so when users go into an area where there isn’t a mobile signal, all of the app’s features remain accessible.
