It’s the start of a new month and that means it’s a great time to try something new. Today, we’re looking at five ways you can promote your new app design – perfect to roll out throughout the month and easily transferrable between apps as you complete projects through the month.
1. Initiate a paid social media campaign
Social media is a wonderful discovery medium and it’s also the ideal channel for promoting your app. Facebook alone has 2.3 billion monthly active users, while Instagram has over one billion. This means there is a huge audience just waiting to be tapped into and an easy, cost-effective and fast means of doing this is via a paid social promotion. This could take the form of an advert or it could be a boosted post. One of the great things about paid social is that you retain a lot of control over exactly who sees your post, ensuring you spend your budget to reach exactly the right kind of users you want to attract to your app.
2. Try an App Store ad
Apple allows app developers to advertise directly on the App Store in the form of Search Ads. The ads appear at the top of the App Store, making them a great way to assist app users find your app. Apple stats say 70% of App Store visitors use the search function to find apps and 65% of downloads occur immediately after the search. This is the perfect way to get eyeballs on your new app design and encourage downloads.
3. Work with an influencer
Influencer marketing is a very powerful marketing tactic. They key here is to find an influencer who your target app user respects and trusts. Of course, those with smaller fan bases come at a cheaper cost – it’s worth remembering too that micro influencers (those with small, niche audiences) often have better connections with their audience than someone will millions of followers so don’t discount those with smaller followings, especially if they are very relevant to your desired app user.
4. Create Stories
Stories are one of the most popular of social media formats and are growing in prominence very rapidly. Both Instagram and Facebook have a story function and millions of users are known to tune in. As the content is temporary, you have room to be creative here.
